A warm welcome
awaits you at Wall's International Guesthouse on Delmas 19. Known for
its fabulous meals, quiet hospitality, and ‘endless cups of coffee',
the guesthouse is a popular and well-situated rest-stop in
Port-au-Prince.
The Guesthouse welcomes single guests and groups from all over the
world. Special rates are available for guests interested in longer
term stays.
Wall's
International Guesthouse was established by Anne Wall, who came to
Haiti with her husband, Jack, in 1984. Jack had founded the Foundation
for International Development Assistance (FIDA) with a vision to
support productive agricultural cooperatives in the rural communities
of Haiti. Although Anne was 60 years old at the time and had never
lived in Haiti before, she persevered with her new venture. There were
difficult times. Often Anne prayed God would "just send a few guests."
God did, and over the years the Guesthouse has
flourished.
In return, Anne contributed proceeds from the Guesthouse to support
the productive agricultural cooperatives. Through the good years and
the lean, the Guesthouse has enabled thousands of Haitians to realize
a sustainable future. As a guest of Wall's International Guesthouse,
your stay contributes toward this vision. Your visit is an answer to a
prayer and a blessing for which many are grateful!
Wall's International Guesthouse can accommodate up to 50 guests. Rooms are shared with 3 to 5 others, including shared shower facilities. Electricity is always available. Rooms are equipped with fans for maximum comfort. Limited air-conditioned rooms are available at a premium rate.
The Guesthouse
is renowned for its delicious meals. Breakfast and dinner are
included in the daily rate and are served buffet style. Lunch is
available upon request at an additional charge. Purified water and
ice are readily available. The
Guesthouse has no television or radio for guests. Evening
entertainment consists of games, reading and table talk. Feel free
to bring your favorite games or books with you. The Guesthouse does
have a small library of books. There is also a small and
refreshing swimming pool on the premises. Towels are provided.
